Ritual By Design

:: Hi! I’m Sabreena ::

It all started with henna…

I’ve been a henna artist since I was a young girl, when I learned to make my own henna paste under the guidance of my aunties (with one or two adjustments, its the same recipe I use today!)

Years later I’ve flown all over the world for luxury weddings and private celebrations. My practice is rooted in ritual, community, and beauty, with a deep appreciation for the many people and places that inspire and nurture my creativity. In 2019 this path lead me to the purchase of my first tattoo machine, which brought my art to a whole new medium

… and now i’m a tattoo artist!

It started with an offer of apprenticeship at Gold Leaf Ink, and a few years later I worked at 24th Street Studio. Since then my commissions keep getting bigger and better, I now work out of my own private studio!

There’s so much more to learn and draw, and I have dreams and plans for where this journey will take me next… but for now you can find me creating, cooking, laughing, and dancing my way through my beloved San Francisco (and the world). See you soon!

YOU MIGHT HAVE SEEN ME IN…
