THE BASICS


How do I secure my appointment?

After your tattoo request form has been received and approved, you'll be asked to submit a non-refundable $300 deposit which goes towards the final tattoo balance. Then my team will help get you scheduled!

How long will my tattoo take?

That depends on the complexity, size, and placement of the design, as well as the individual. I schedule most clients for four hours. Return clients can schedule longer appointments. Please note that big projects will take multiple sessions.

What can I do to prepare for my tattoo appointment?

Avoid alcohol and caffeine for at least 24 hours before your appointment, drink lots of water, and eat before your appointment! Keep in mind sunburns need to be fully healed before you come in.

How do I pay you?

The remainder of your appointment is due in CASH. There are NO ATMs in the studio so please plan accordingly. It's best to bring enough cash to cover the full length of your appointment.

 

PERSONAL & SHOP POLICIES


Are there placements or types of tattoos you don’t accept?

Unless your body is otherwise fully inked I don't tattoo the head, or neck. I do not tattoo hands, fingers, or feet. I do not tattoo lettering or script other than Urdu. I also don't do banded designs.

Can anyone get a henna inspired tattoo?

Yes! As a South Asian woman and classically trained mehndi artist I believe that henna is for everybody.

What if my design isn’t what I expected?

Please let me know if you’d like me to make minor adjustments to the design before we start. If you ask for significant changes or want a different design, your appointment will need to be rescheduled. In this case I ask for a non-refundable $300 re-draw fee.

What if I’m running late?

Please let me know if you're running behind. At 20 minutes after the designated appointment time you'll be considered a no-show and your deposit will be forfeit. Rescheduling is always a possibility but is subject to availability.

When is the soonest I can see the tattoo design you’ve created for me?

Your design will be ready when you arrive for your appointment. In consideration for standard industry policy, it is not able for viewing prior.

Can I get a perfectly symmetrical tattoo?

Yes and no-as a loving reminder, our bodies aren't perfectly symmetrical. This means that even that symmetrical designs may highlight the natural and perfectly imperfect form. I may at times suggest an alternate placement, or recommend a "balanced" rather than "mirrored" overall effect.

What if I need to reschedule?

If you need to reschedule please let me know at least 10 days in advance, otherwise it will be considered a late cancellation and a new deposit will be required in order to book.

Can I bring someone with me to keep me company?

Please ask your loved ones to make other arrangements during your appointment. There are some great coffee shops and restaurants nearby.

 

PARKING & TRANSPORTATION


How much time should I allow for parking?

Give yourself 20-30 minutes just in case and take your pick of street parking!

What’s the nearest public transportation?

There are multiple MUNI lines that run nearby. The 16th St. BART station is about a 10 minute walk.

Can I leave during my appointment to add money to the meter?

In order to avoid disruputions and delays please write down your meter number as soon as you park and before coming into the shop. That way we can make best use of your appointment time, and you can add money to your meter during your appointment using your phone or mobile device.
